• Birch Tar Absolute: A completely natural substance often touted in "organic" remedies. It’s also classified as a known human carcinogen due to its high levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and is restricted for use in cosmetics in many countries.
• Unrectified Bergamot or Lime Essential Oil: The cold-pressed oil straight from the peel is phototoxic. Applying it before sun exposure can cause severe blistering, burns, and long-term skin discoloration. This risk is entirely eliminated through a purification process (rectification) or by using the safer, synthesized version of the key aromatic molecule.

• Vanillin can be synthesized to provide a consistent, hypoallergenic vanilla scent, unlike vanilla extract which can vary wildly and introduce allergens.
• Phenethyl Alcohol is a synthetic molecule that mimics the scent of roses. It’s not only beautifully fragrant but is also a effective, skin-friendly preservative.

The question isn't "Is this natural?" The question is, "Is this the safest, most effective, and least sensitizing option available for the job?" That is the core of our philosophy.

• Synthetic Ethoxylated Emulsifiers: Due to potential concerns about contamination with 1,4-dioxane, a carcinogen.

Our Preservation System: Instead of questionable preservatives, we use Leucidal SF in our balms and pomades. It’s a powerful, natural preservative derived from radishes fermented with Lactobacillus. In our oils, we use a custom Antioxidant blend of Tocopherol (Vitamin E) and Rosemary CO₂ extract to prevent rancidity naturally, extending the life and potency of our products.

Our Ingredient Selection: Every butter, oil, and wax is chosen because it has a proven job to do. Mango Butter for deep absorption, Sandalwood for its grounding scent and skin benefits, Coffee for gentle exfoliation. Nothing is filler.
